SWEF grantee wins Business Award

Business owner Kieran Jackson, 20, has grown his car cleaning business, KJ Detailz, from operating out of his car to serving up to four customers a day. A £500 SWEF Start Up Grant awarded via the Dorset Community Foundation helped him buy essential equipment, including a generator, water compressor and rotary polisher, allowing him to work more flexibly.

The Blandford St Mary entrepreneur now works up to six days a week, charging £65–£100 for deep cleans. He plans to expand by hiring staff, adding vans and specialising in high-end vehicles. His achievements were recognised with a young entrepreneur award at the Blandford Business Awards.
